Retailmoves.com launches free iPhone app

Leading retail jobsite Retailmoves.com launches its new iPhone app today. Available now from the Appstore, the app is free to download and makes it easier than ever for users to search for retail jobs.
 
Developed by recruitment software company Work Digital Ltd, the app makes it easy for those seeking a job in Retail Operations or at Retail Head Offices to search for vacancies anytime, anywhere. Users enter their job search criteria on a single screen and the app uses the phone's geo-location tool to find the nearest relevant jobs. Users can then filter the results by relevance and email themselves suitable vacancies for review at their convenience.
 
The launch comes as part of Retailmoves.com’s wider digital marketing strategy which includes social media, online advertising and a partnership with social recruitment website Twitjobsearch.com. Retailmoves.com embarked on its social media strategy earlier this year as a means of keeping up with innovations in recruitment and improving candidate attraction. This began with the creation of interactive Facebook and Twitter pages and was swiftly followed by a partnership with www.twitjobsearch.com, which now indexes all Retailmoves.com vacancies, allowing visitors to view and apply for jobs advertised on Twitter without having to create a Twitter account. Visits to Retailmoves.com have a shown a marked increase since the implementation of this plan.
 
With 4.5 billion mobile phone users worldwide and 17% of people in the UK using mobile devices to search for new job opportunities, the company realised it could not afford to disregard the mobile market. Currently, 6% of traffic to www.retailmoves.com comes from mobile devices, with iPhones and Androids topping the list.
