It’s proved to be a very valuable way of raising company awareness and networking across the industry by entertaining clients and rewarding employees for all their efforts during challenging times.

Winners Casna Group really got on top of the conditions and were quickly moulded into a slickly organised team but had to work hard to secure the title against some of the industry’s top names, including The Dorchester, Royal Automobile Club, The Eton Group Small Luxury Hotels and Hilton.

Nick Appell, MD of Casna Group, commented,

‘Casna Group are very proud to have taken part in the Profile Sailing Cup Challenge for a second year. Not only were we delighted to be able to help raise much needed funds for our chosen hospitality charity - SPRINGBOARD - but we actually won the Challenge too!

Our crack team of industry clients were the ‘perfect team in the perfect storm’ and we had a huge amount of fun and laughter on the waves too. Lack of training, a few too many early mornings, and lots of late nights meant that we were the underdogs of the competition at the outset, but our crew bonded instantly once onboard Rocket Dog, and we sailed to victory in the end! We are now busy finding the very best space in Casna’s trophy cabinet, and planning even greater sailing success in next year's Challenge. A huge thank you to all those to took part and helped organise the Profile Sailing Cup, and here's to next year’s!’

The rest of the crews are waiting for the chance to take on Casna again with Profile already agreeing to be involved after the success of the 2011 w event.
