AllTheTopBananas.com have released an updated version of their job seeking application for the iPhone, which enables users to search for jobs from over 200,000 vacancies on AllTheTopBananas.com, without the need for a computer. The update includes brand new features for an enhanced user experience and now gives the jobseeker the opportunity to view each vacancy in full on the advertiser's website.
Since the applicationís initial launch in February, thousands have downloaded the job seeking tool. In a bid to improve their service, AllTheTopBananas.com responded to user feedback, and have made changes to the application to fully meet the needs of the jobseeker.
The new application allows the jobseeker to search for jobs that are advertised on AllTheTopBananas.com. The results can be filtered by location, newest vacancies and the top 20 results. Any job that the user saves to their shortlist can be retrieved anytime by visiting AllTheTopBananas.com. The application also highlights vacancies that have previously been clicked on, to help users to distinguish between those vacancies that have already been viewed and those which have not.
The main addition to the application is the brand new feature that gives the jobseeker the opportunity to apply for a vacancy directly with their iPhone. Mobile jobseekers will now be directed to the site where the vacancy is being advertised. If the user has previously registered with the site, they will be able to apply directly; with no need to be in front of a computer; making the job seeking process fully mobile.
Dave Martin, MD of AllTheTopBananas commented on the changes to the application: What we have created represents the future of job seeking. Mobile job hunting has arrived, and our application aims to deliver the same quality of service that we provide through our website. The user feedback we have received has enabled us to improve our application to make mobile job seeking a fully realised possibility and we are very grateful to the users who provided us with the feedback to make the changes.
The application has proven very popular without product marketing. We are reviewing the options to power iPhone applications for our job board partners; putting their brands on the jobseeker's iPhone. The next mobile step is to launch on the Google phone which is rapidly growing market share in the UK.
The iPhone application is available to download now from the iTunes applications store, and is available for use on the iPhone and the iPod Touch. Within days it has received a lot of attention with thousands of downloads, making it more popular than version one.
