e-VERIFILE Signs CSX to e-RAILSAFE

Atlanta-based e-VERIFILE.COM Inc, developers of web-powered workforce solutions, has signed CSX Transportation Inc (CSX) to it's e-RAILSAFE program.

e-RAILSAFE is an industry-wide safety and security initiative for railroad contractors, suppliers, vendors and related employees. The service facilitates personnel screening, safety orientation, credentialing and tracking of thousands of railroad contractors and related employees. CSX is the 7th major North American railroad to join the e-RAILSAFE program, alongside BNSF, Canadian National, Canadian Pacific, Conrail, Norfolk Southern and Union Pacific.


As part of its entry into e-RAILSAFE, CSX will now require its contractors/vendors and their employees who physically operate on their properties, to comply with the program which primarily focuses on Service Providers who have:

* access to critical infrastructure
* access to sensitive information
* access to company employees
* access to hazardous materials

e-VERIFILE.COM Inc. developed the e-RAILSAFE program in 2005, after it was selected by several U.S. and Canadian Class 1 Railroads to help augment safety and security at railroad facilities. Class I railroads are designated as the largest freight railroads, as classified by operating revenue.
