The Industry Standard for Project Management Training

Often dubbed as the impossible job, governing our nation takes an unimaginable amount of organisational planning, more so in 2009 than perhaps ever before

Often dubbed as the impossible job, governing our nation takes an unimaginable amount of organisational planning, more so in 2009 than perhaps ever before. Behind the scenes from the Cabinet Office and the Ministry of Defence, right down to local councils nationwide our beleaguered civil servants are increasingly using structured methodologies as essential resource for running their projects and programmes. Project and Programme management best practices such as OGCís PRINCE2 method for project management and MSPô – Managing Successful Programmes for Programme management, have been incorporated into the management structures of organisations across the board.

First developed in 1989 the PRINCE training course covers the management, control and organisation of a project offering any type of organisation a structured and efficient strategy for dealing with any kind of project. PRINCE2 describes procedures to coordinate people and activities in a project, how to design and supervise the project, and what to do if the project has to be adjusted if it doesnít develop as planned. PRINCE 2 is divided into manageable stages and the method enables an efficient control of resources while at the same time providing a common language for all participants involved in the project.

Having developed PRINCE2 as the standard in project management for UK government. PRINCE 2 has since been recognised as offering an excellent approach to project management across various sectors of business and is scalable and tailors to any type and size of project.

SPOCE, who were the first company to provide an accredited training course of this kind, have seen a surge in demand for its range of project & programme management training.
