Totaljobs.com has seen huge growth in the use of its jobseeker app during the first quarter of 2015 with downloads up 230% since its initial launch in November 2014.
The number of mobile jobs viewed per visit is up 181%, mobile jobs saved have increased by 135% and job applications via mobile have seen growth of 184%.
The app, optimised for iOS and Android devices, has previously featured as one of the ‘Best New Apps’ of the week in the Apple App Store and was ranked the second ‘New Top-App’ in the Google Playstore business category. It recently won the ‘Best Use of Mobile’ category at the Onrec Awards 2015 and following the latest update from Google, which rewards mobile-friendly websites in search results, the app has been labelled 'awesome' by the search giant’s Mobile-Friendly Test.
Jobseekers can apply for jobs on the go through the app and send CVs to prospective employers via cloud-based services DropBox, Google Drive, Box or OneDrive. Every totaljobs.com vacancy is accessible to users through the app, meaning job hunters can view over 110,000 jobs at any time.
The app also allows candidates to create custom job notifications on their handset, which highlight new jobs within an hour of them going live on the totaljobs.com website.
