Zywave named Oliver Degnan as chief architect of product development

Zywave, Inc., a provider of technology products and services for insurance brokers, today named Oliver Degnan as chief architect of product development. In this role, he will lead the process of creating and maintaining a technical roadmap for Zywave by identifying emerging technologies, maintaining high development standards, executing a comprehensive architecture roadmap, and overseeing the successful development of each Zywave product.

With an accomplished enterprise architect like Oliver in this new role, Zywave will continue to exceed the highest development standards for our products, ensuring that our applications serve our partners in the most effective possible way, both now and in the future.

Before joining Zywave, Degnan was senior software architect for a provider of software-related services with a high reliance on quality architecture. In this role, he was the principal architect of the BrokerageBuilder(TM) Outlook Add-In, ZyPAL(TM), and the Zywave ReportCenter. In his 16 years of consulting, Degnan has established a list of notable clients that includes homestore.com, realtor.com, The Chicago Board of Trade, Oshkosh BíGosh, General Motors, Harley Davidson, CUNA Mutual, and ProHealth Care, to name a few.

Degnan holds a masterís degree in architecture and urban development from Munich University and studied German literature and computer science at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. In addition, he holds a variety of professional certifications, including Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer, Microsoft Certified Application Developer, Microsoft Certified Professional, and Macromedia Certified Dreamweaver Developer.
