Workthing launches online recruitment system for Compass Group UK

.

Workthing has launched a new online recruitment system for Compass Group (UK & Ireland), part of the worldís largest foodservice company.

The system will help standardise recruitment practice across the Groupís 9,000 UK locations that employ over 110,000 staff. It replaces the traditional collection and manual sorting of paper CVs for many roles within catering, retail, distribution and management. The aim of the implementation is to help reduce the length of the recruitment process.

The Compass Group site will act as the central area where all applications will be received, sorted and screened. Workthingís technology will drive all applications submitted online to the central system. The details of all candidates that expressed an interest in working for the Group will then be held in a CV database, which will be accessible across the business.

This fully-integrated corporate careers site was created using Workthingís PeopleBank technology, and will allow Compass to:

post their vacancies online from their desktop
manage all the responses and communicate quickly with candidates
automatically alert candidates to new vacancies

Jane Moger, UK Resourcing & Retention Director of Compass Group UK & Ireland ìWe have a very successful new business pipeline and when we win new contracts, they often require staffing quickly - from waiting staff, customer service professionals to project managers. The PeopleBank system will give us a competitive advantage by allowing us to get to the good candidates faster.î

Bill Shipton, Commercial Director of Workthing commented: ìPeopleBank technology has already proved it can speed up the recruitment process. One of our clients The Tussaudís Group, has reduced its time to hire by 66 per cent - giving them the competitive edge they needed in the seasonal labour market. Weíre looking forward to giving Compass Group that same advantage in their industry.î
