Workplace options announces formation of the Work-Life training institute

Well-known author Madan Birla will facilitate first seminar April 14, 2005 in Chicago

Workplace Options (WPO), the leading provider of work life programs to corporate America through partnerships with employee assistance (EAP) companies and other third-party providers, has announced the formation of The Work-Life Training Institute.

The Work-Life Training Institute was created by WPO to provide senior human resource and business executives with an opportunity to learn about key workforce issues facing their organizations, direct from thought leaders in the fields of human resources, leadership, management and work life. The interactive seminars are designed to provide practical approaches to creating and developing organizations that are competitive in today’s global market.

The Institute’s inaugural one-day seminar will be held in Chicago on April 14th, 2005 and is titled Leadership Excellence: Sustaining an Innovative and High Performance Workforce. The highly interactive seminar will guide participants through a four-step model for building and sustaining creativity, leadership and high performance in their work environment. Participants will learn practical ideas that maximize innovation and fine-tune leadership skills.

The Executive Training Institute provides a forum for joining innovative theoretical approaches to practical applications, says Alan King, chief operating officer of Workplace Options. Executives will gain knowledge from one another and from experts on how to create work environments that sustain business growth and more importantly, how to integrate that knowledge into their organizations.

The seminar will be facilitated by Madan Birla, a well-known author, speaker, and management consultant who helps organizations unleash employee creativity and commitment -- the key to competitive edge in today’s knowledge economy. Madan Birla is the author of Balanced Life & Leadership Excellence: A Nurturing Relationship and, a new book to be released in June, 2005, FedEx Delivers: How the World’s Leading Shipping Company Keeps Innovating and Outperforming the Competition, published by John Wiley and Sons.

The cost to attend the one-day seminar is $325.00. Early bird registration is $295.00 for registrations received by March 25, 2005. The seminar will be held at the 410 Conference Center, 410 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois.
