Business-to-people communications agency, WMW, has launched a new business writing course designed to help HR and Internal Comms professionals write more effectively – by breaking the rules. During the one day course participants will be encouraged to commit ëseven deadly sinsí – such as using everyday words instead of formal language, writing stories and adding personality to their writing – to turn dry internal messages into engaging communications.

Neil Martin, senior writer and trainer at WMW, explains:

ìWords are crucial to making a connection between ëthe businessí and the people who work there. But so often the way organisations write internally is dull, perhaps because thereís an unspoken rule that business writing has to be formal. This course challenges that view. By encouraging people to break the rules, it helps internal communicators to inspire and engage with words and put an end to jargon-filled corporate speak.î

HR and internal communication professionals interested in reserving a place or discussing a bespoke course for their team should contact Cristina Harvey at WMW.
