Winners announced for Business / University collaboration awards

Cranfield University were proud to host the inaugural Business/University Collaboration Awards for the East of England on 22 March

Cranfield University were proud to host the inaugural Business/University Collaboration Awards for the East of England on 22 March. Over 100 representatives from regional small to medium enterprises and Higher Education Institutions attended the awards which celebrated successful collaborations between businesses and universities, supported by the East of England Development Agency.

The Winner within the category for Most Innovative Collaboration was Sphere Medical in collaboration with Cranfield University. The successful short-listed collaborations were A Recipe for Success and the University of Essex and ëNorwich Union in partnership with the University of East Anglia.í

The winner within the category for Most Entrepreneurial Collaboration was Glazing Vision and Anglia Polytechnic University. The successful short-listed collaborations were Ludlows of Luton in partnership with the University of Luton and Heales Medical in partnership with the University of Hertfordshire.

There were also two discretionary awards, the Association of Universities in the East of England (AUEE) discretionary award for recognising the importance of the academic partner which was awarded to A Recipe for Success and the best Shell Technology Enterprise Programme (STEP) which was awarded to Genapta Ltd.
