Marketing and media industry recognises recruiter quality
Attended by 300 industry protagonists, the Marketing & Advertising Recruitment Awards (MARAs) is the only event of its kind dedicated to the UK marketing and media recruitment sector.
Hosted by specialist job board, Only Marketing Jobs, and headline sponsored by contractjobs.com and Broadbean, MARA 2011 congratulated 50 recruitment consultancies across 15 categories, saluting excellence within an evolving staffing sector.
The awards evening was the culmination of months of public voting and independent judging, during which more than 10,000 votes were cast between the original 100 award participants. Entrants were recruitment consultancies specialising in the provision of contract and permanent professionals within the marketing, media, advertising and digital industries and ranged from boutique businesses to corporate organisations.
Simon Lewis, co-founder of Only Marketing Jobs, said: “The increasing demand for engagement through social recruiting and talent communities has forced recruiters to adopt new methods. These awards highlighted that the marketing recruitment sector is adapting to change and meeting both employer and jobseeker demands. We could not have wished for a better outcome to what is fast becoming a must-attend event in the recruitment calendar and look forward to even greater participation next year.”
