Wing Walk Is Employees Final Duty At activpayroll

Payroll specialist, Davinia Ballantineís last duty for her employer before she leaves the company will be above and beyond the call of duty

Payroll specialist, Davinia Ballantineís last duty for her employer before she leaves the company will be above and beyond the call of duty. activpayrollís marketing manager will be taking part in a charity wing walk on Saturday 18th June to raise money for The Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust.

Davinia will stand on the wings of a 1940s Boeing Stearman bi-plane as the plane reaches speeds of up to 140 miles per hour over Royal Deeside.

When I agreed to do the wing walk, I wasnít aware that it would be my last duty at activpayroll, says Davinia who is moving to Perth in Australia. Iím sure Iíll have the support of all my colleagues who are staying firmly on the ground. activpayroll staff have a great reputation for getting involved in fund raising activities like this. I suppose Iíll get a completely different perspective on the landscape as it flies past!

Davinia has never undertaken any activity like this before. I am looking forward to challenging myself with this experience. It will take a lot of courage, but nearly as much as it takes for children and adults to face leukaemia. Iím pleased that Iím doing this for such an important cause.

The wing walk is in memory of the late Kevin Humphreys, who died of leukaemia aged 14 years old. All money raised from the event on Saturday 18th June goes towards the Anthony Nolan Trust in Scotland, helping to fund bone marrow transplants. activpayroll suppliers, business associates and clients have already pledged over 1800 for Anthony Nolan. Anyone who wishes to support the event can do so by contacting activpayroll on 01224 860800.
