Leading graduate careers website WikiJob has promoted former Sales Manager Alex Cresswell to the position of UK Digital Sales Director. He will take overall responsibility for the development and growth of the existing digital sales team.
The move comes as WikiJob, the UK’s largest graduate careers website, announces a series of expansion plans which will see the company double in size from 4 to 8 digital sales people within the next six months following a number of high profile client wins in recent weeks.
Since its launch in 2007 WikiJob has rapidly grown to become the leading player in the highly competitive online graduate careers marketplace, with several Times Top 100 recruiters including KPMG, Deloitte, Lloyds Banking group and EDF among their growing portfolio of clients.
Edward Mellett, director of WikiJob, said: “Alex has been fundamental to the growth of WikiJob over the last twelve months. Having recruited, trained and developed an award-winning team of high calibre sales people he is ideally positioned to lead the expansion of our digital media sales division.”
“We are actively recruiting sales people with relevant industry experience to meet the increasing demand from some of the UK’s largest graduate employers and recruiters, universities, recruitment marketing and consumer advertising agencies for effective and innovative recruitment marketing solutions,” he added.
With more than 350,000 graduate job seekers visiting WikiJob each month, demand for graduate jobs continues to rise and specialist sites such as WikiJob are becoming an increasingly pivotal part of the overall recruitment media used by many of the UK’s leading employers.
