webrecruit celebrates 15,000th member to join LinkedIn group

This week saw the 15,000th member join webrecruit’s LinkedIn group, Transforming Recruitment Online.

The group, aimed at both candidates and employers alike, has seen a phenomenal response with members using the site as an open forum to share their thoughts on, and experience with, online recruitment.

Phil Roebuck, webrecruit’s Managing Director, said: ‘With online activity driving recruitment, it’s imperative to see what both candidates and employers are looking for. And by working together, I’m certain we can improve standards’.

The group allows employers to participate in debates and keep an eye out for emerging online talent, whilst jobseekers can share CV tips, discuss the changing recruitment landscape and, most recently, pose a question to webrecruit’s Chairman, James Caan.

The ‘Ask James’ column – an interactive Q&A column exclusive to the UK’s number one flat fee online recruiter – provides people with the unique chance to pose a question directly to the recruitment guru himself.

The column has proved extremely popular, with the webrecruit chairman advising candidates, HR managers, employers and fellow recruitment professionals on a range of issues, whether it’s business, recruitment or career-advice related.

Phil further commented: ‘The group is growing at a significant rate, and to keep interest flowing, we’ll ensure to add more features and include highly relevant discussions. Users can already apply for a job, discuss their current recruitment strategies and get an insight into the dynamics of online recruitment. They can even ask a Dragons’ Den star a question directly – how many groups can boast that?’
