Warren Partners appoints new Chairman

Executive search and selection specialist, Warren Partners, has appointed Michael Davis as its new non Executive Chairman

Executive search and selection specialist, Warren Partners, has appointed Michael Davis as its new non Executive Chairman. He takes up the post following the retirement of Rod Howgate, who leaves after six years with the business.

Michael brings with him extensive experience of professional services, following 28 years with Ernst & Young, during which he led the North West corporate finance practice and managed the Liverpool office. Subsequently, he has held a number of non-executive chairmanships, including health insurance brokers PMI Health Group, the Merseyside Special Investment Fund and the TV and media company, Unique Communications Group.

In addition to his board positions, Michael has also worked with Granada for several years, as both a judge on its televised business competition, ìFlying Startî and on a major charity initiative. He is also the Deputy Chairman of North West Vision, an agency that supports and encourages the film and TV industry in the region.

Commenting on his decision to take the position, Michael Davis says: ìWarren Partners has grown significantly since its inception six years ago. Jolle and her team have established a most impressive reputation for the quality and effectiveness of their work. Their client list is a testament to that.

ìI am delighted to become part of such a dynamic and professional business and to be part of their next ambitious phase of development.î

On the appointment of the new chairman, Jolle Warren comments: ìMike will be a fantastic asset to the business. When we were looking for a new Chairman we were keen to find someone from a financial background with experience of growing businesses but most importantly someone who shared our values and our passion for treating others the way we want to be treated.î

Michael, who is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, lives in Cheshire and will take up his appointment at Warren Partners with immediate effect. He is married with 4 grown-up children and enjoys tennis and sailing in his spare time.
