The TARGETjobs Undergraduate of the Year Awards, in association with SHL, has now opened for entries and sponsoring the search for the UK’s Best Management Undergraduates of 2012 is Enterprise Rent-A-Car. The award aims to identify the best UK management students or those studying closely related business degrees in terms of their academic achievement, personal skills, intelligence and ability to succeed in the business world.
“This award gives students the chance to demonstrate their leadership and communication skills, flexibility and work ethic, and the winner will gain invaluable experience learning business fundamentals from across all aspects of the firm” commented Donna Miller, European HR Director at Enterprise Rent-A-Car. “We are sponsoring the Management Undergraduate of the Year Award to demonstrate the wealth of opportunities available for talented, motivated students.”
As part of the competition, undergraduates will undergo a rigorous application process, representing the candidate selection procedures used in the work environment today, including a mix of online ability assessments, telephone interviews, assessment centres and presentations to help them shortlist the 10 best undergraduates.
SHL, a leader in talent measurement, has worked closely with Enterprise Rent-A-Car to select a range of specialist online assessments that will give insight into undergraduates’ ability, personality and motivation, and provide an objective platform from which to measure, compare and rank their key behaviours, and predicted performance potential against other applicants.
The winner will be announced at a special awards ceremony on 13 April 2012 at the East Wintergarden, Canary Wharf and will receive an internship with Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
Chris Phillips, publishing director at Group GTI, the largest graduate careers information business in Europe and organisers of the TARGETjobs Undergraduate of the Year Awards, said: “This award gives management students the chance to show Enterprise Rent-A-Car that they’re driven, motivated and have the potential to succeed in a role that could see them managing their own branch within two years at Enterprise.”
The Management Undergraduate of the Year award is open to penultimate year students studying management or related subjects.
