Virtual Grad Fair launches for property, construction and design

The publishers of Building, Property Week, BD and BSJ have launched Virtual Grad Fair, a three-day online event created to help students start their career in the built environment.

The unique format of Virtual Grad Fair has been designed to enable graduates to interact online with a wide range of employers. Users can explore the exhibitor booths, attend free online seminars and chat to exhibitors and other attendees in real time. However, unlike a traditional exhibition, users can access the show from the comfort of their home, office or internet cafe.

The event offers students the chance to:

ï Talk to employers directly via instant messenger or by joining their chat-rooms
ï Apply directly for live graduate and placement vacancies
ï Watch online seminars discussing working overseas, graduate schemes and interview techniques
ï Network with employers and fellow students/graduates in the lounge

Exhibitors already include Davis Langdon, Turner & Townsend, Carillion and WSP, as well as backing from major institutions including CIOB, RICS, CIBSE and CIAT.
Virtual Grad Fair will run from 10th - 12th November 2008 and is completely free to attend.
