Viadeo announces strategic cooperation with Chinese parter Tianji

Viadeo.com announced its closer cooperation with the leading Chinese online business network Tianji.com

Viadeo now boasts three million members and facilitates 12,000 business introductions per day

Viadeo.com announced its closer cooperation with the leading Chinese online business network Tianji.com. Founded in 2004 by Derek Ling, Tianji has over 1.2 million members, is growing at 4,000 new members per day and has a staff of 35.

Thanks to this first strategic cooperation, the Viadeo network now boasts over three million members and facilitates over 12,000 business introductions per day, thereby strengthening its position as the leading online business network in Europe and Asia.

On the back of its continuing success in Europe, Viadeo was able to complete a second round of funding of a further five million Euros from its investors Ventech and AGF Private Equity in July 2007, which increased the total combined investment in Viadeo to 15million Euros. Viadeo is now accelerating its growth in Asia, including the tie up with Tianji.

Viadeo and Tianji have been working together since June 2007 and launched the Euro China Link (ECL), an exclusive business introduction service between the two networks. The two companies have decided to go much further in their partnership by working on the integration of their databases and by developing joint applications for both websites.

Viadeo announced its cooperation with Tianji during the Franco-Chinese Business Forum in Beijing (. The Franco-Chinese Business Forum was organised by UBIFRANCE and the Economic Mission of the French Government. This yearís Forum was marked by the presence of French President Nicolas Sarkozy, as part of his first official visit to China.
