US Chamber of Commerce Selects Monster as Preferred Online Recruitment Provider

Alliance to Offer Quality Hiring Solutions to Small and Medium-Sized Companies Across the United States

Monster, the global online careers and recruitment resource, and flagship brand of Monster Worldwide, Inc, and the US Chamber of Commerce, recently announced a two-year alliance to provide top quality hiring solutions to US Chamber members. Monster was selected following a competitive search that included several other national recruitment solution providers.

The organizations will jointly develop initiatives and programs designed to build awareness of, and educate small businesses about, the efficiencies and effectiveness of online recruiting. The alliance also provides Monster the opportunity to impart how its tools and recruiting solutions can help small and medium-sized businesses find qualified candidates to sustain and grow their businesses.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is an esteemed organization with whom we are honored to be associated. Our ideals and objectives - to help advance people’s lives and support small business employment needs - are strongly aligned with those of the U.S. Chamber, and that bodes well as we embark on this relationship, said Brad Baker, Chief Marketing and Product Officer of Monster Worldwide. Small and medium businesses are playing a significant role in driving today’s U.S. economy, and are a key strategic business priority for Monster. With 96 percent of the U.S. Chamber’s membership representing companies with fewer than 100 employees, this alliance provides a wonderful opportunity for Monster to enhance its brand awareness and dialogue with this growing segment.

With small and medium-sized companies generating 60 to 80 percent of net new jobs annually and employing more than half of all private sector employees (source: U.S. Small Business Association, 10/14/2003), utilizing the right recruiting solutions are critical to their future growth and success. Accessible via the U.S. Chamber small business site (www.uschamber.com/sb), members will have direct access to:

Monster’s full breadth of recruitment and hiring solutions
A hiring toolkit, including employment facts, articles and expert advice on a range of pertinent topics including employee retention and how to write more effective and compelling job descriptions; and

Exclusive, customized offerings designed specifically for U.S. Chamber members.

With the competition for talent on the rise, we believe Monster will give our members a competitive advantage in their employee recruitment and retention efforts, said J.P. Moery, Senior Vice President, Federation Relations, U.S. Chamber of Commerce. We are very excited about making this dedicated online recruitment service and resource available to the three million businesses in our federation.

Through the alliance, U.S. Chamber members looking for a new job opportunity will have access to thousands of local job postings that span all titles, levels, industries and occupations, as well as Monster-provided content and cutting-edge tools designed to personalize the job search process.
