University of Kentucky Wildcat Wins Monster Mascot Challenge at 2005 NCAA Men’s Final Four; NCAA Mascots Competed at Monster’s Second Annual Mascot Event

In front of a jubilant, standing room-only crowd at Center Court in NCAA(R) Hoop City(R), the University of Kentucky Wildcat edged the Syracuse University Orange to claim victory yesterday in the Monster Mascot Challenge at the 2005 NCAA Men’s Final Four(R) in St. Louis, Missouri.

Seven mascots from various NCAA men’s basketball programs, along with Monster’s signature mascot, Trumpasaurus, battled for this coveted honor. Hosted by CBS Sports’ Bill Raftery, the competition featured a challenging obstacle course complete with balance beam, vault, dribbling and skateboard tracks that tested each mascot’s agility, style and poise. Each participating school received a $1,000 donation to its general scholarship fund.
