Relay Recruitment, of Bradford and Leeds, has been nominated for the Yorkshire heats of this yearís UK Skills National Training Awards.

The shortlisting for the regional phase was for a muscular retention and development strategy that is prompting unsolicited approaches from top consultants up and down the country.

Said Talent and Recruitment Director, Alex Golding: ìWe are the only UK recruiter of our size to have a board level role dedicated solely to the attraction and retention of our own staff; we have invested in a purpose-built training centre; and we offer development and reward packages that rival those of the largest networks.

ìWe are delighted that these projects have been recognised with a shortlisting at the leading training awards in the country and we hope to be highlighting our approach at the national finals.î

Now in its 22nd year, the National Training Awards scheme is managed by UK Skills and supported by the Department for Employment and the Department for Universities, Innovation and Skills. Recognised as the most prestigious British training awards, they are a celebration of companies and individuals who achieve outstanding success through investment and best practice in training.

The regional awards ceremony will be held on 30th September, with the national event at the end of the year.
