The signs of a healthy labour market continue with unemployment falling to 4.6 per cent in the July to September period, down 0.2 percentage points from the previous quarter, comments Joe Slavin, managing director, Monster.co.uk. Sectors where Monster has seen an increase in job vacancies in October include positions at architectural firms, employment placing agencies and advertising, marketing and public relations companies. There has also been increased demand for government, education and healthcare workers. Seeing such a positive trend towards the end of the year underlines our view that 2005 will be the year of the jobseeker!
