Triple the number of Job Seekers at FE Careers

FE Careers has had triple the number of job seeker visitor sessions since their major web development programme earlier this year

FE Careers has had triple the number of job seeker visitor sessions since their major web development programme earlier this year. In November 2008 they had 322,102 job seeker visits, which is triple the average number visiting the site before their web developments in April 2008 (where the average was 109,000 job seeker visitor sessions per month).

FE Careers who are the specialist Further Education, Work Based Learning and Skills job advertising site, have gone through a major development programme throughout all of 2008. The major developments have really paid off for both their advertisers and job seekers. With triple the number of job seekers and double the number of jobs advertised on a weekly basis.

Steve Shippey, Operations Director for Training Enterprise explains the improvements they have experienced through the major developments at FE Careers. In April 2008, FE Careers gave their site a new shape & look and the response to our advertising has continued to be very good if not even better. The new changes makes it even easier for employers to see how the advertising in getting on. I would recommend FE Careers to any Colleges, Schools & National Training Providers like us.

FE Careerís sister news site www.FENews.co.uk has gone through two major developments, FE News now incorporates video interviews and commentary and is in the process of incorporating a FE Events calendar. The FE News section now enables everyone in the FE Sector to have access to video footage of conference speeches and interviews ranging from Government Ministers to Strategists. The CEO Gavin OíMeara explains the significance of this ìTwo years ago I was sitting in a room with about 300 College Principals and one of the biggest changes of Further Educational strategy was announced. There were no delivery staff or learners present during this famous change of strategy speech.. and this was such an important announcement that would effect everyone in Further Education. It really bothered me, that only a handful of the thousands of people who should have heard this were able to. This is why we have incorporated video into our news section so everyone now has access to speeches and new strategies at the major Further Education and Skills conferencesî.

The FE Careers team continue to develop their value added services for both advertisers and job seekers. We wait to see what new developments the FE Careers team will develop in 2009.
