Description: A recent report estimates that nearly 10% of the UKís gross national product (GNP) is lost each year due to work-related stress and figures show that almost 13 million working days were lost to stress, depression and anxiety in 2003/4. Counselling experience shows that stress and trauma can trigger underlying mental health issues that may impact upon an employeesí well-being and performance at work. What are employers doing to address this brain and profit drain?
This conference will examine how to help individuals to manage deep-seated personal issues that lead to addictive behaviours that are damaging to themselves and their organisations. For while assessing personality and behaviour in the office can highlight individuals strengths it can also bring to light factors that could indicate potential derailment.
