Totaljobs.com, the UK’s leading jobs website, has been voted the nations favourite commercial jobs website by leading market researcher, NetObserver. The survey also revealed that Totaljobs.com was the UK’s second favourite employment website, with 8.1% of the vote, after government jobs website, Direct Gov who received 13.1%.

The NetObserver study began in 1998 and is the largest study of European internet users of its kind. Completed by one of the world’s leading custom market research firms, the survey questions over 4000 respondents on their favourite sites, with the top ten sites for each category then presented with an award from NetObserver.

John Salt, Director at Totaljobs.com said: “In the current economic climate, businesses need to be increasingly aware of the importance in judging the value of their website in terms of customer satisfaction and engagement, as well as the number of visits. As this award is voted for by those who matter most, our users, it’s great to know that they value and trust the website and the service it offers.”

John Salt added: “This award comes just after we saw record levels of traffic flow in September, with four million monthly unique users reported. It’s a testament to the hard work we’re doing to attract job seekers and the service that we will continue to develop, to ensure we offer our users a host of advice and a user friendly experience to maintain the trusted service favoured by millions of job seekers across the UK.”

Jean-Laurent Bouvert, Head of NetObserver Department Europe, said: “Totaljobs.com has been voted 2nd favourite job site behind government site jobseekers.direct.gov.uk by thousands of regular visitors to employment and careers websites in the UK. This obviously confirms the very strong reputation of Totaljobs.com as one of the UK's leading jobs boards.”
