Totaljobs launches quick search on MSN Messenger

Chat online and job search at the same time

Totaljobs.com is the first UK online recruitment website to take job searching a step further. MSN Messenger users are now provided with easy, instant access to thousands of vacancies. Jobseekers can search for jobs directly from MSN Messenger, without needing to visit the totaljobs.com website.

This is a first for MSN Messenger UK, the most popular, free instant messaging service in the UK, and totaljobs.com, the leading UK recruitment website. This development builds on totaljobs’ exclusive partnership with the MSN jobs channel.

The new service enables users to simply click on the ’jobs’ tab on the MSN Messenger homepage, which takes them directly to the totaljobs.com ’quick job search form’. Jobseekers can now view the latest vacancies by the most convenient channel - whether online, via mobile phone or handheld device, whilst recruiters will have access to an increased talent pool from MSN Messenger’s 9.3 million UK users.

Philip Jones, marketing manager, totaljobs.com says: We are very excited about this development because it means quick and easy jobseeking for candidates. MSN Messenger can be accessed on the move via mobile phone or PDA so we can reach jobseekers in their preferred way. Also the young professional and student MSN Messenger audience is of great interest to our recruiters.

Helen Copnall, business manager, MSN Messenger adds: We are pleased to be extending our exclusive relationship with a major recruitment site and it’s great to see brands like totaljobs.com embracing different areas of online marketing. It’s fantastic that MSN Messenger users can now easily search totaljobs’ vacancies with just one click.
