Totaljobs Group today announces the launch of CareerStructure.com, a recruitment website aimed at professionals working within the construction industry across the design, building and civil engineering functions.
The key aim of the website is to attract the cream of the industryís talent in a sector facing severe skills shortages and a lack of qualified personnel. Demand for talent is so high that each construction industry job advertised attracts just 2 applications. In comparison, the not for profit and call centres sectors receive 11 applications for every job advertised.*
Bucking this trend, CareerStructure.com has already attracted over 9,000 visits to its site within the first week.
The website went live with more than 7,400 jobs in all regions across the UK from hundreds of the top employers within the industry, including Network Rail, Taylor Woodrow, The Kier Group and Balfour Beatty.
Mike Convey, website director of CareerStructure.com says: ìOur aim is to become the first choice for high quality, qualified and experienced professionals, and to attract new blood by targeting those entering the industry and positioning ourselves as an authority on careers in construction. There are currently 1.6 million people working in construction in the UK; however our research showed general dissatisfaction amongst jobseekers and recruiters with many of the current recruitment solutions.
ìWe are targeting candidates in the higher-end, skilled and professional part of the market. By creating a strong dialogue with these individuals, we will be able to offer employers access to the brightest and best talent.î
