Totaljobs audits application figures

Totaljobs.com has become the first to publish independently audited job application figures

Totaljobs.com, the UKís recruitment website, has become the first to publish independently audited job application figures.

Totaljobs.com recorded 740,000 jobseeker applications* in March 2006, according to figures from ABCe, the online media industryís audit service. The recruitment website carries 100,000 jobs on average every month giving jobs posted on the site an average of 7 applications.

Application rates are one of the most important metrics to measure success in the online recruitment market. Totaljobs.com now generates 143% more applications than it did a year ago, with an application generated every 3.5 seconds.

ìWe are committed to offering employers as much data as possible on the jobseeking process. This audit is the latest in an ambitious set of services that will help employers understand the ease and dependability of the internet for recruitment and give employers confidence in the return they receive on their investment,î says Paul Stephens totaljobs.com website director.

Totaljobs.com commissioned the audit as part of its ongoing commitment to transparency in a sector that is still in its infancy. It was also the first recruitment website in the UK to independently audit the diversity of its users.

The high application rate is evidence of the siteís ability to attract quality candidates on a large scale and deliver an effective matching service for the 2,800 recruiters who use its site. Over 1,990,000 unique users visited totaljobs.com in March 2006, from all industry sectors and regions across the UK.

ìOur ability to attract growing numbers of quality candidates with the skills needed by employerís means that applications through totaljobs.com will continue to rise. The increasing application rate shows that quality candidates are online and looking for jobs,î says Paul Stephens.
