Enhancements for Topaz EMS and a 4,000 Bursary Fund for a Diploma in Payroll Management have been launched at Softworld.

New features and upgrades for Topaz EMS (Employee Management System) were unveiled by the Topaz team during the two day Softworld show at Birmingham NEC on October 18 and 19.

A full Establishment Budgeting/Manpower Planning facility has been developed within the integrated payroll and HR system to create the ideal budgeting establishment structure in terms of manpower and costs ñ with the ability to drive recruitment for increased growth and profitability.

Year on year budgeting can also be created easily to provide comparisons with previous years, while the software produces a wealth of analysis and reporting from detailed post histories. Topaz EMS also has new developments for ñ

Enhanced Recruitment
Additional HR Reports

The enhancements illustrate that Topaz is not prepared to rest on its laurels even after its most successful year, with Topaz EMS being implemented by three regional development agencies following the latest at One North East. Panasonic, Hull College, Nylacast - a leader in cast nylon and engineering plastics, and the CEL Group of logistics, haulage and engineering companies, have been additional contract wins in the past 12 months.

Topaz also used the Softworld platform to provide a ëpayback to payrollí with the launch of a 4,000 bursary fund for a Diploma in Payroll Management.

The bursary, following the link up with the Institute of Payroll Professionals (IPP), will cover the course fees for the two year course at the prevailing rates of the IPP and companies are now being invited to nominate suitable candidates before the Softworld deadline in February 2007.

A winner will be announced at the end of April 2007 ahead of the two year course, which is scheduled to begin in September 2007

Keith Brown, Topaz EMS Business Development Manager, revealed that the latest product enhancements and the Bursary Fund reflect the fact that Topaz is not only committed to improving its software but also to the payroll industry.

ìWe are delighted to be teaming up with the IPP to provide payback to the payroll industry with our bursary funding, which will be a commitment to an individual for two years to help further their career,î says Keith Brown, Topaz EMS Business Development Manager.

ìItís a fantastic opportunity for the winning individual to develop their payroll qualifications, without the financial implications for either the individual or their employer.

ìTopaz is the only company offering this kind of bursary and it reflects the fact that we are not just interested in supplying software, but we have an interest in the people that use it.î
