A few months ago online recruitment company CV Market became the first eastern european jobsite to start its activities in Western Europe. Since its opening in 2000 in Estonia, CV Market proved a success. After 2 years, they achieved market leadership in Estonia, and 5 years after startup, CV Market has expanded its activities with websites in Latvia, Lithounia. Czech, Hungary and Poland.
With an easy to use, high quality website, an extensive network in the new EU member states and an upcoming revolutionary business model, CV Market.nl has steadily begun developing and differentiating its business from other jobsites in Netherlands.
But its not going to be easy. With over 300 other jobsites in Netherlands, its a totally different market than in Eastern Europe. Koen Liefaart, managing director for Netherlands remains positive about CVmarkets chances; íWe know this is a busy market and we try to be as different as possibleí.
You are not your job, you are your CV. This is our philosophy, says Koen. A job title is nothing more than the name of the role that you trying to act out, its not who you really are. Your CV should reflect who you are. We want to be there for the active jobseekers and offer the web environment to make and store your CV and search for interesting jobs in Holland as well as new EU member states.
Instead of targeting jobs and companies like most online recruitment websites do, CV Markets main priority are the jobseekers.
CV Market.nl business strategy is the one of a íprice-fighterí, like EasyJet says Koen, with the main focus being with the small, developing businesses. These are the companies that are still relatively unfamiliar with online recruitment or dont have big budgets for their personnel requirements, says Koen, for them, CV Market is a nice and cost effective alternative to sites like Monster and Stepstone.
CV Markets strenghs in the Netherlands lie in its easy to use website, the attractive price, the unique network with new eu member states and its revolutionary business concept and associated partners in the Netherlands. ’Together with these characteristics we should stand a chance in the Netherlands says Koen.
Unfortunatly, I cant say much about this new approach at this time, but, it will guarantee quality for interested companies. For jobseekers it will be hard to NOT place his or her CV on CV Market. For the rest, I can tell you more during summer 2005, when we plan to launch new initiatives. Onrec.com will be the first to be informed. For now, CV Market still offers free introductory packages in Holland
