Expedient
Training Consultancy's fully-funded Recruitment Apprenticeship Scheme opens
this week for applications from potential employers and candidates. The
scheme, which is the UK's only large scale apprenticeship package designed
exclusively for the recruitment industry, has been 12 months in the making and
includes the entry-level Certificate in Recruitment Practice delivered by the
REC.
Accredited
by Educational Development International (EDI) and Edexcel, the scheme offers
recruitment businesses (both recruitment agencies and recruitment divisions
within corporates) a unique opportunity to take on new young recruits with a
fully-funded and structured framework for their training needs, reduced salary
costs and reduced hiring costs. The scheme is targeted at undergraduates
(2011 A-level students) but is also open to all candidates. Paul Deen,
Expedient Training Consultancy’s Marketing Director says “The Recruitment
Apprenticeship Scheme has been developed after lengthy consultation with the
recruitment industry to understand the training needs of new young recruits
entering this market. The scheme
is fully funded which, combined with government regulations allowing apprentice
wages to be significantly lower than the national minimum, means this is a
really cost-effective way for recruitment businesses to grow in these
challenging times.”
The
Recruitment Apprenticeship Scheme is not just restricted to new recruits. Recruitment businesses may also be
eligible to take advantage of the funded training and support for any existing
staff in their organization. Deen continues “The scheme is tremendously
beneficial for the whole business - employees enjoy a structured learning
programme, gain four recognised qualifications, improve their skills and build
a solid career path whilst the employer not only feels the benefits to the
business in the skills acquired but also nurtures the motivation and loyalty of
their staff – a total win-win”.
Expedient
Training Consultancy is committed to providing a total of 150 apprenticeships
in London, Manchester and Birmingham and has already received overwhelmingly
positive feedback from the industry. Mark Kieve, Chief Executive of the
e-recruitment platform Amris says “There’s no doubt the recruitment industry
will benefit enormously from this new initiative, it’s a fantastic opportunity
for both employers and young people and will help further professionalise the
industry”.
Established
in 2008, Expedient offers fully funded work based learning across a range of
sectors and enjoys an extremely high success rate. Stuart Garnett, Expedient Training Consultancy’s Managing
Director commented We have been delighted with the response from recruitment
companies, from boutique agencies through to high street chains. Our team has
worked very hard to design a package that will appeal to the recruitment
industry and offer a new and cost-effective alternative in today’s climate.”
Only 150
fully funded apprenticeships are available so employers and candidates need to
act quickly to ensure they don’t miss out. To find out more and apply visit: www.recruitment-apprenticeship.co.uk or call Sue Reader (for
