The Peoples web challenges online trading stranglehold

The Peopleís Web, the revolutionary low-cost internet service created to help recruiters sell through a one-stop online marketplace for just 25 a year, has now launched to consumers.

Developed to break the stranglehold of the high-fee auction sites and search engines, The Peopleís Web (www.thepeoplesweb.co.uk) allows UK retailers to advertise and sell their entire product range online for an annual flat fee.

Almost 100,000 products are now available through the site, from major retailers such as Volkswagen and Crabtree & Evelyn through to service providers including plumbers and craftsmen.

The consumer launch kicked off with an appearance on BBC2ís Working Lunch, where the site was pitched as a low cost alternative for businesses to ebay, Yell.com and the online search engines.
