Expedient Training Consultancy's Recruitment Apprenticeship Scheme which opened last month for applications from potential employers and candidates has announced they will make a £20 donation to children’s charity, KidsOut, for each successful work placement on the scheme.
Expedient are working closely with recruitment organizations and in-house recruiters, to place a total of 150 Apprentices this September into recruitment roles across London, Manchester, Newcastle and Birmingham, and aim to raise £3,000 for the charity, KidsOut in the process. KidsOut is a UK charity dedicated to bringing fun and happiness into the lives of disadvantaged children and young people. They provide practical help and support all over the UK, bringing fun and happiness into the lives of children who otherwise wouldn’t have much to be happy about. Expedient Training Consultancy is contributing the per-placement donation as part of the REC’s campaign to raise £40,000 for the charity. Expedient Training Consultancy’s Managing Director, Stuart Garnett commented “Expedient is delighted to be able to support the REC’s Charity Partner, KidsOut. It’s a real privilege and very rewarding to know our Apprenticeship scheme will go beyond the immediate benefits to recruiter and employer and give something back to the community.”
The Recruitment Apprenticeship Scheme, which is targeted at undergraduates but open to all candidates, provides a structured and supported training framework for on-the-job learning both for new recruits to the industry and for staff already working in recruitment. Accredited by the Educational Development International and Edexcel and supported by the REC’s Certificate in Recruitment Practice, the scheme has been welcomed by the industry in these challenging times for providing a means to take on new staff at lower costs whilst still enabling the employer to add value and cultivate loyalty through the provision of a structured and comprehensive training programme.
Paul Deen, Expedient Training Consultancy’s Marketing Director comments “The scheme is tremendously beneficial for the whole business - employees benefit from a structured learning programme that complements their on-the-job learning, gain 4 recognised qualifications, improve their skills and build a solid career path whilst the increased investment in their training means the employer not only feels the benefits in the skills acquired but also nurtures the motivation and loyalty of their staff – a total win-win”.
Only 150 fully funded apprenticeships are available so employers and candidates need to act quickly to ensure they don’t miss out.
