The IT Job Board – the biggest IT jobs site in the UK[1], has launched a CV Database. The system, which was designed in-house, will provide The IT Job Boardís clients with access to over 100,000 candidate CVís across Europe.
Clients are able to search for candidates using a combination of skills, phrases and location search terms, along with other criteria, such as qualifications, and availability. Once a list of candidates is retrieved, they can view or download a CV, save the search criteria, create email shortlists, and set up email alerts.
A key differentiator of The IT Job Boardís CV Database is the ëBest Matchí functionality. Best Match is a profiling tool that enables The IT Job Board to analyse and score CVs, in order to match similar ones on the system.
Alex Farrell, managing director of The IT Job Board, commented: ìThe Best Match technology can drastically reduce the time it takes an employer to find relevant CVís. They simply source a candidate they like, and use the system to search for other similar applicants.
ìWe provide Best Match technology across all our job boards, and have had real success with it. We therefore chose to implement the product within the newly launched CV Database and believe it will act as a real point of market differentiation.î
Farrell added: ìToday, candidates in the IT sector often prefer to be head-hunted by employers, as opposed to applying blindly to recruitment agency adverts. And, in these difficult economic times, clients also tend to look for the most cost effective route in order to find potential employees. Historical surveys have highlighted that the average cost per head can be heavily reduced using an online CV Database.î
