This week Howard Ebison was fired from The Apprentice after Sir Alan Sugar decided that he was averse to taking risks and told Howard he was just an ìordinaryî candidate.
Monster.co.ukís Apprentice watcher observes:
Howard was fired from The Apprentice last night as he failed to lead his team to victory in a live shopping channel task. Reflecting on the products Howard chose for fellow contestant Kate to sell, and on his performances on previous tasks, Sir Alan Sugar didnít think he stood out as an exceptional candidate and he became the tenth candidate to be fired.
As we head into the final stages of the Apprentice the remaining five candidates will now have to be interviewed by some of Sir Alan Sugarís most trusted business aides. For anyone who has a job interview coming up Monster suggests the following simple steps on how to shine amongst the competition:
- Be prepared – make sure you do some background research for the job you are interviewing for. This should include finding out about the company and its products/services. Also make sure you have questions prepared to ask the interviewer
- Past experience – be prepared to talk about previous job roles and how you can transfer the skills you already have
- Make a good first impression – people form opinions quickly. Dress smartly, be confident and remember a smile can go a long way!
- Leave on a positive note – make sure you thank the interviewer(s) for their time, say you look forward to hearing from them, but definitely donít ask if you got the job
