It might have escaped attention but the latest job board trying to muscle into the IT niche space is
www.texinthecity.co.uk.

With over 2500 London IT jobs and really simple functionality Tex offers 3 focussed products - standard adverts or featured adverts (with either 1 week or 4 week postings) and Pay for Application adverts.

No CV service - just job postings. This is clearly a no frills job board.

Tex offers ecommerce and is completely self-service. And Tex provides access to the Jobg8 Network of some 300 different job boards so a great response level is assured.

With the pay for application product posting can be made for free and recruiters only pay for the applications they draw off the site.

One interesting feature is Tex has no bulk uploading facility, so it appears the target market is the smaller recruiter and corporate client posting just a handful of jobs at a time.

Jobs are organised by location within the Greater London area and by sector within the IT industry with a strong emphasis on Software Development and IT Project Management.

With a 60/40 split between Permanent and Contract jobs it will be interesting to see how well this no frills offering is accepted by candidates and recruiters alike.
