Technology investment means faster people decisions

SHL delivers better online experience for customers and candidates

Global leader in talent assessment, SHL Group, has made recruitment and talent management decisions easier for employers by moving its psychometric and ability tests to an advanced technology platform - SHL On Demand.

The 12m investment in SHL On Demand, the companyís biggest technology project ever, means that SHL can provide enhanced online assessment, enabling an improved candidate experience and real time results for employers, helping them speed up the time to hire.

ìThe number of organisations worldwide using SHLís online assessment offering has grown from ten in 2000 to more than 6,000 in 2009. In fact, fewer than 15% of SHL assessments are now delivered via paper and pencil,î said Andy Ross, Chief Information Technology Officer, SHL. ìThe significant investment in SHL On Demand means we can support up to 10,000 concurrent users as well as processing more than 8,000 assessments an hour, which increases our current capacity ten-fold.î

ìThe system also facilitates a faster service for customers who are faced with the challenge of identifying the right person for the right job and getting them on board as soon as is possible. For candidates, the experience has been re-engineered with improved usability without diluting the robustness of the assessment process,î he added.

SHL On Demand also meets the very latest security standards and supports full multilingual assessments making it the ideal choice for international employers and those looking to the global talent pool to recruit. The system is hosted in two state-of the-art data centres to ensure continuity of service.

SHL On Demand goes fully live on 29th September, with existing SHL system users being seamlessly upgraded to the new system.

SHL Group Chief Executive, David Leigh added: ìThis major investment in technology marks SHLís commitment to its customers, who recognise that psychometric and ability assessment is no longer an optional extra, but central to identifying the best talent. The internet has moved assessment out of the classroom where candidates undertook paper and pencil tests, to the web where tests can be undertaken remotely and employers can have instant access to the results. This is now the assessment process of choice, with SHL delivering more than five million online assessments across the globe in the last twelve months. As the industry-leading assessment solutions company it is right that SHL is at the forefront of further revolutionising the assessment experience for both employer and candidate with this new advanced technology.î
