TeamBuilders, a performance development company based in Palm Harbor, Fla. and the Boston area, announced today it will build a special training course at the Mainsail Suites Tampa Hotel & Conference Center.
The course will be used for Pursuit training. Pursuit is an organizational development program TeamBuilders developed and introduced last year.

Mainsail Suites Hotel and Conference Center is a condo-styled hotel located within five minutes of Tampa International Airport, Raymond James Stadium and near Busch Gardens. This unique property was originally built as a customized international training center for PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Each and every guest suite features a living/dining room and full kitchen.
The new outdoor course is designed specifically for Pursuit, which incorporates the sport of geocaching, Conner said. Like Geocaching, Pursuit is a problem-solving simulation that relies on Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) receivers, two way radios, the Internet and other tools that lead teams from location to location in search of clues and coordinates. Ultimately, the teams must find their way to a pre-established goal.
ìPursuit allows teams to work together toward a common goal while utilizing the very latest high-tech positioning tools,î said Conner.
Pursuit simulates real-world business problem-solving challenges, according to Conner. Teams must determine and prioritize objectives before moving on to the goal, just as they must do in the real world.
Pursuit is only the latest TeamBuilders innovation. The company consistently brings new ideas to the performance development arena ñ ideas that keep TeamBuilders clients coming back for new programs that inspire and motivate their leaders and teams.
The Pursuit course is one of three that TeamBuilders has developed in Florida this year, Conner said.
Earlier, TeamBuilders introduced the Five-Star TPI Team Performance Indicator, an assessment instrument that allows clients to accurately measure the effectiveness of their team performance programs. Five-Star TPI provides a success measurement capability that extends months after the team building program has been completed.
