Successful first few months for new consultancy

A new contract win for a firm of leading chartered surveyors is among work secured by a North East-based human resources consultancy in its first few months of trading

A new contract win for a firm of leading chartered surveyors is among work secured by a North East-based human resources consultancy in its first few months of trading.

Hadrian HR is celebrating winning a 12 month deal with Naylors to provide auditing and ongoing services and support after opening for business at the beginning of February.

Based in Newcastle city centre, Hadrian HR was developed by Gordon Brown Law Firm after employment specialists realised a demand for an expert human resources service for micro and small businesses struggling to comply with national and European legal requirements and leaving themselves open to costly staff disputes and tribunals further down the road.

Naylors, which has offices in Newcastle and Middlesbrough and employs 22 members of staff, moved its HR contract to Hadrian HR from its previous consultancy based in the south.

Headed up by HR Consultant, Deb Tweedy, Hadrian HR has the capacity to support clients from across the North East region.

Margaret Naylor, company secretary at Naylors, said: "We made the decision to switch to Hadrian HR to take advantage of having a professional, local company onboard.

"Already, we are delighted with the input from Deb. She has been involved in a very thorough audit of our existing HR practices and is ensuring we are up-to-date with the required processes in place."

Hadrian HR offers different levels of consultancy packages ranging from a full audit of current policies to full documentation, implementation and ongoing support and advice. Businesses can also draw on Hadrian HR for training, support with recruitment and for any urgent issues.

Deb Tweedy commented: "We are delighted to be working with Naylors to provide them with a professional HR service. They are one of a number of companies that have contacted us; some are in the process of switching their outsourced human resources to Hadrian HR while others are considering using the services of a HR professional for the first time.

"Small businesses often don't require a salaried HR position so the consultancy service that we offer is an ideal alternative for them."

Hadrian HR has been set up to address the chronic need for a no-nonsense HR consultancy that can support small businesses and help them to put in place professional HR practices.

Prices start from £250 for one off services and less than £180 per month for a 12-month package, which includes access to a 24/7 helpline.
