Stuff the election: vote for a party

A top Scots website will join the campaign trail this week by asking the electorate to stuff the election and vote to win a free works night out.

ScottishJobs.comís ëElection Selectioní game is asking voters to go online, and find five key cabinet posts listed on the ScottishJobs.com website - Prime Minister, Chancellor, Home Secretary, Education and Health Ministers.

When they find the positions, players vote for them and are entered into a draw. The winner wonít be elected to Parliament, but they will win a free works night for his or her office colleagues at a local bar up to the value of 500.

Megaphone carrying promotional staff from ScottishJobs.com will be in Edinburgh’s city centre from Monday 2 May to Wednesday 4 May handing out leaflets and carrying the ëStuff the election, vote for a partyí manifesto placard.

ScottishJobs.com’s booze for ballots party manifesto will reward one lucky group of office nine-to-fivers who log-on with an office booze-up to the value of 500.

Electioneering recruitment website managing director Pat Kelly says: ìEveryone is invited to log on to the ScottishJobs.com website and vote for the key cabinet posts hidden there. This is a fun initiative, but itís not that far removed from what ScottishJobs.com does. Elections are like job seeking. There is one job and lots of applicants. Players of the ëElection Selectioní game may not become Prime Minister, but they may find a fantastic new job in the process.î
