StepStone Solutions adds 50 new customers in Q2 2006

.

StepStone Solutions, the On Demand hosted and managed e-recruitment solutions business of StepStone ASA, has continued its strong growth adding 50 new clients across Europe during Q2 2006. Demand for both the i-GRasp and Easycruit products increased with sales being made in all markets in which the business operates.

Particularly strong progress has been seen in Scandinavia with a record breaking 28 new clients. These new clients included media-giant Orkla and KPMG in Norway, hotel group Scandic and Ikano Banken in Sweden and home improvement retailer Bauhaus and mineral wool manufacturer Rockwool in Denmark. In a strong sign of the growing importance of effective e-recruitment products many of the new deals signed within the quarter are pan-Scandinavian rollouts.

Existing Danish customer Carlsberg extended the reach of their solution across their Norwegian and Swedish businesses.

In the UK StepStone continued to dominate the market with 11 new customers during the quarter. Clients who selected StepStone included construction giant AMEY, fast growing fashion retailer Fat Face, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Essex University. A particularly notable achievement was the number of new clients coming from partner organisations. The Guardian Newspaper continues to leverage its dominant position within the public sector by adding London Borough of Hackney and Essex University.

The Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) industry is increasingly adopting StepStoneís i-GRasp as the tool of choice. This is driving growth and extending the product reach into customers and markets that may not otherwise have considered a ëbest of breedí solution.

The Netherlands operation has emerged as a strong competitor within its market adding 6 new customers during the quarter. These included diversified manufacturer Sabic, retail financial services specialist SNS Reaal and credit manager Atradius.

i-GRasp is also currently being implemented by StepStone into Verizon in the US.

Matthew Parker, Managing Director of StepStoneís Solutions Division said ìThe business is continuing to develop in accordance with our plans. Demand for our products continues to increase year on year and we are investing in sales, marketing and customer service to allow us to expand our market share in what is still an early stage market. I am particularly pleased with the addition of 50 new customers in the quarter - significantly ahead of the customer acquisition rates of our competitors and with winning the contract to supply Verizon in the US this further confirms StepStoneís global capabilitiesî
