Stephen Overell joins The Work Foundation as new Head of Media Relations

The Work Foundation today announces the appointment of award-winning journalist Stephen Overell as its new head of media

The Work Foundation today announces the appointment of award-winning journalist Stephen Overell as its new head of media.

Welcoming Stephen, the Work Foundationís chief executive Will Hutton, said: I am delighted that Stephen has agreed to help drive the organisationís work forwards. He has acknowledged expertise in the field of work and excellent media skills. I am sure he will make an important contribution.î

For the last 10 years, Stephen has been a freelance writer, commentator and columnist for a wide range of newspapers and magazines including the Financial Times, Prospect, Personnel Today, and many others. His current interests include employment relations, the future of working life and the nature of meaningful work. He won awards for his journalism in 2002 and 2006.

Stephen Overell said: ìThe changing nature of working life and what it means for our wider culture has become a hugely significant debate in Britain. I am excited to be joining the Work Foundation at this time to ensure its voice gets heard both by the policy makers who shape working life, and the managers who determine how it gets done.î
