Staffcentrix Certifies 100th Trainer to Deliver Groundbreaking ’Virtual Careers’ Training Programs in Over 65 Countries Globally
Staffcentrix, a provider of virtual (home-based) career training programs and resources, announced today that it has now certified over 100 trainers to deliver its groundbreaking programs at US embassies, consulates and military bases in some 65 countries globally.
Staffcentrixí programs, developed for the Armed Forces and the US Department of State, train participants to work from home independently as Virtual Assistants and Virtual Professionals, and to work as home-based freelance contractors on projects they are taught to find on the Internet. The services they provide range from the administrative to market research to high-level corporate consulting.
Almost all Staffcentrix-certified trainers are employees of the Department of Defense or the Department of State. They provide career development and related services to service members, veterans, military spouses, and Foreign Service spouses at military bases, embassies and consulates internationally.
ìThis is a happy day for us,î said Christine Durst, Staffcentrix Co-Founder & CEO, who is credited with having founded the Virtual Assistant industry from her home in rural Connecticut in 1995. ìLike most companies, Staffcentrix began as a dream, and in our case, Mike and I dreamt of helping people find personal growth and family strength through rewarding, professional-level, home-based careers. Whether we call it telework, homesourcing, homeshoring, distributed work, or by another name, the ëvirtual careersí concept has evolved beyond a mere movement, and is becoming an established feature of US domestic and international workflow.î
ìOur programs are now offered to ëtrailing spousesí -- better known as accompanying partners -- from Shanghai to Prague, and throughout Africa and Central and South America,î said Staffcentrix Co-Founder & COO Michael Haaren. ìWith the online professional communities we maintain for our training participants, our daily communications with our trainers, and our weekly bulletin of virtual projects and employment, I think we may be as up-to-date on accompanying partner employment conditions as a single company could be.î
Durst and Haaren, who still occasionally facilitate trainings themselves, are also the co-authors of a new bestseller from Career Press, ìThe 2-Second Commute -- Join the Exploding Ranks of Freelance Virtual Assistants,î available at Amazon.com or at www.2secondcommute.com. The home-based job bulletin to which Haaren refers, The Rat Race Rebellion, contains screened and legitimate telework and freelance jobs, and is published weekly by Staffcentrix.
Both ìThe 2-Second Commuteî and The Rat Race Rebellion were recently purchased in bulk by the Department of State for distribution within the US diplomatic community.
