Have you ever wanted to do something really life changing?
Well with the Springboard Charitable Trust (Scotland) you now have the opportunity to do both, as it launches itís latest, and arguably most ambitious, fundraising event to date. Walking with proud Berbers, accompanied only by a small caravan of camels, Springboard are heading off to the Sahara desert for a 9-day trek in March 2007.
The Charitable Trust, which was set up in Scotland in 1998, provides educational support to help young people, the unemployed and disadvantaged groups in society prepare for work within the Scottish Hospitality and Tourism industry. Springboardís aim is to help educate people about the career opportunities available and we run an impressive portfolio of national programmes including: Futurechef; Summer School; Young Managers; Buddy Days and extensive Travel and Tourism Programmes, all of which are designed to help motivate and inspire potential recruits into the Industry.
The 9-day trek will take participants across 100km (62 miles) of this stunning Moroccan landscape where you can expect anything from perfect wind blown sand dunes, broken only by the occasional oasis, to endless flat salt plains surrounded by the stunning views of the Jebel Sarho and Jebel Bani Mountain ranges.
Places on this amazing trek are limited and anyone who is interested in taking part in what will be a memorable, if not life changing, experience, and wants to help raise funds for Springboard Scotland, should contact them using the details below:
Please note that the closing date for participant registration is Friday 1st September 2006.
