Following recent negotiations between the two organisations, Leisurejobs will become the Institute of Sports and Recreation Managementís (ISRM) official careers and recruitment partner.

Commenting on the new agreement Ian Wakefield, the ISRMís Business Development Manager, said, ìThe ISRM has over 40 universities and colleges who are corporate members. As part of the benefits we offer them we wanted to be sure that, as well as gaining access to hundreds of useful documents for research, students had access to comprehensive careers advice and access to the best jobs service around. Leisurejobs is the market leader in our sector so they were a natural choice.

ìThe deal not only benefits students but also ISRMís 2000 qualified members who will be offered discounted advertising and a range of additional recruitment services. We hope, as a result of this agreement and a combination of other initiatives, ISRM will help to bridge the gap between undergraduates and employers and bring the whole sector closer together.ì

ISRM has recently developed a Learning Zone on its website for students who are studying sports management and offering a range of jobs and career advice was seen to be an essential part of this service.

James Brotherhood, Marketing Director for Leisurejobs, said, ìWe are delighted to be teaming up with ISRM, they have vast experience across all areas of leisure management and a reputation for quality and professionalism. With our combined marketing efforts we think this is a really powerful proposition and as the partnership progresses we look forward to delivering more features and a better service to job seekers in the leisure industry.î
