Sybll Romley, president and CEO of SPECTRUM Human Resource Systems Corp., has been elected to the International Association for Human Resource Information Management, Inc. (IHRIM) board of directors.

ìSybll brings to the board a strong business perspective, as well as knowledge of our industry and the opportunities and challenges we face,î says Lynne Mealy, president and CEO of IHRIM. ìHer roles at SPECTRUM reinforce her knowledge of our industry. Iím certain her strategic management, marketing and sales skills will be very useful on the board.î

ìIHRIM is highly regarded in the HR industry, and Iím excited to be a part of an organization that is dedicated to working with HR and information technology,î comments Romley. ìI believe the diverse expertise on IHRIMís board of directors will continue to guide the organization in reaching out to businesses with workforce management technology needs.î

The board of directors is responsible for initiating strategic goals and objectives, formulating policies, overseeing financial management and governance, and ensuring that the vision and mission of the association are successfully implemented, according to IHRIM.

The IHRIM Leadership Effectiveness Committee, comprised of seven members, was responsible for the nomination and selection process. The process included reviewing nominations and interviewing individuals. The committee elected three new candidates to the board. Nine individuals will comprise the IHRIM board of directors in 2007.

ìMy staff and the IHRIM board of directors are looking forward to working with Sybll over the next three years,î says Mealy.

Romley begins serving a three-year term on Jan. 1, 2007.
