South West Job Board launches this month to a fanfare of support from local businesses, recruiters and job seekers.
www.southwestjobboard.co.uk is now live and on-line allowing employers in the SW to advertise jobs cheaply, quickly and efficiently online, while providing a FREE and easy resource for job seekers to find jobs in the South West, no matter where they are in the country.
Covering the whole of the South West region SWJB allows job seekers to search for jobs either by area, or job type completely free of charge knowing they are only going to get the results they are looking for.
At the moment a simple advert running for one week could cost up to 800 which can be a large amount for small employers or those who advertise regularly across the South West.
SWJB also allows employers and recruiters to target staff across the country who may be looking for work in the area, in particular students looking to fill importantseasonal positions.
South West Job Board offers this service all on-line, allowing employers to post jobs in minutes and choose how long they wish them to run for, there is a simple pricing structure and you can pay securely there and then online.
Matthew Etherington of SWJB says ìEmployers get a tough deal across the South West, it is difficult finding seasonal staff every year and or looking for quality employees when so many are leaving the area. It can also be expensive with job adverts leading into the thousands for monthly adverts. SWJB hopes to solve this problem by providing an affordable alternative to traditional job advertising.
It will also provide a service that will let people looking for work in the South West have a ëone stop shopí knowing that they only need look in one place for any jobs coming up in the area.î
James Barnecutt of Malcolm Barnecutt and Son bakers who employ over 120 staff across the South West says ìIt will be a very welcome tool to our recruitment process. Knowing that we have a cheap, effective and efficient way of posting jobs and searching for new recruits should save us time, effort and money.î
Ian Burden, Branch Manager at Idealpeople in Exeter comments ’A companyís employee’s are its main assets, and competitive advantage can mostly be achieved by employing the best talent in the marketplace.
With the progress that the team behind the South West Job Board has made, I think the site will become the first stop for professional companies and quality agencies who know the value of good staff.’
