Sleepmasters nominated for Best Corporate Use of Online Recruitment

With over 140 stores nationwide, Sleepmasters, one of the biggest bed retailers in the UK, has recently been nominated for the OnRec Award for Best Corporate Use of Online Recruitment.

Reducing the time from advert to placement by 75%, reducing staff turnover by 11% and reducing the cost per hire by 50%, Sleepmastersí newly improved recruitment process has been nominated alongside retail giants such as Vodafone UK, John Lewis Partnership and MacDonalds

Over the past 12 months Sleepmasters have introduced bespoke technology and developed a dedicated careers section on their corporate website to deliver significant benefits.

Employing almost 700 staff throughout the UK with a HR Department of just 5, recruitment was previously the sole responsibility of area or store managers. Advertising was limited to local newspapers, formal interviews rarely took place and quality applicants were often being lost to competitors who were able to identify key candidates quickly and simply.

Through the continued partnership with leading recruitment specialist networx and the introduction of their apoint technology Sleepmasters have managed to gain complete control at every stage of the process. Minimising advertising costs, ensuring necessary paperwork and checks are completed and providing feedback to each and every applicant whilst benefitting from wide exposure of multiple online job boards.
