The British Under 15 Archery Champion is aiming to have her Olympic ambitions realised thanks to the support of skills assessment company, Skillsarena.

Daisy Clark, 13 from Chelmsford in Essex is hoping to represent England at London 2012, after receiving a 5,000 sponsorship grant from the company.

Jason Pierce, Managing Director of Skillsarena, said: ìWe are always keen to recognise talent, which is a major part of what we do as a business, and wanted to give something back to Daisy. She is obviously extremely able and as a local girl, we jumped at the chance to support her talent.î

The 5,000 will go towards equipment and travel costs as well as top-level coaching.

Daisyís passion for archery started in 2003 on a family holiday. She quickly accelerated her hobby into a passion and became part of the Tudor Rose Archery Club in Chelmsford and the Panther Bowhunters Field Archery Club in Galleywood.

She said, ìLuckily for me, my dad is also interested in archery and used his free weekends to take me round the country for various competitions. After winning a few national events, I set my goals on Europe, winning titles in Finland, Germany and Sweden.

ìThe investment made by Skillsarena will mean I will have access to the best equipment and tuition. My ambition is to gain world recognition for the sport and shoot for my country at the Olympics in 2012. Although it seems a long way off, it is definitely achievable.î

Daisy is currently ranked second in the world for Field Archery Under 15s, is the Under 17 North American Archery Champion and the European Field Archery Champion.
